More Awkward Convention Kiss - Donald Trump And Mike Pence Vs. Al And Tipper Gore

You ready to get awkward? You ready to squirm out of your skin? Well let’s do it, because we have politicians kissing (or air kissing in Trump’s case) so that they can prove they’re human beings. I have no idea what Trump was doing last night with this air kiss. Did he momentarily forget that Mike Pence is a dude? Or was it one of those things where he thinks everyone is beneath him so he gives the Grandmother “I’m the Queen of the family Mwaahhhh” kiss to anyone and everyone he passes by. Whatever the answer is you never want to see this in your face. Never ever.

Mike Pence’s life flashed before his eyes in that moment and he didn’t even realize it. Donald Trump was your crazy Aunt kissing everyone on Thanksgiving. Air kisses for everyone. So awkward.

But, with that said, and as awkward that was to watch, nothing and I mean nothing, will ever touch the Al Gore/Tipper Gore kiss from 2000. I remember this happening in real time, it was a viral story without the internet. Al Gore trying to show the world he’s not a robot by smooching his lady for the whole world to see and almost murdering her with the force of his kiss.
